A strong blow to the Russian fleet in Novorossiysk: the first data on losses are known

In the port of Novorossiysk, located in the Krasnodar Territory, several Russian warships were seriously damaged as a result of a powerful attack by drones, as reported by several Russian Telegram channels.

According to the sources, the strike was carried out on the eve of March 1-2, 2026. At least 200 attack drones are believed to have been involved in the attack, according to air defense units.

As a result of the attack, five warships in the port were damaged. In particular, one of the vessels, most likely the sea minesweeper “Valentyn Pykul”, received significant injuries. There is also information about damage to the ships “Eysk” and “Kasimov”.

Preliminary data indicate three dead service members and 16 wounded. Russian sources currently distribute this information, but there are no independent confirmations yet.

In addition, the first photos of the Russian LNG tanker Arctic Metagaz, which was damaged on March 3 in the Mediterranean near the coast of Malta, have appeared online, showing serious hull damage and traces of a large-scale fire.
