In Kyiv, an official lives without her own home in a Hyundai Palisade for 1.4 million and with $95,000 in cash

Oksana Khomych, head of the education department of the Desnyanskyi district of Kyiv, declared $95,400 in cash and purchased a Hyundai Palisade for UAH 1.38 million, despite not having her own home. Her declarations for 2025 and 2026 indicate that the official lives only in a garage and owns two cars.

According to the declaration, Khomych’s total income for 2025 was about UAH 905,000. The main part of this income is a salary from the Academy of Modern Education LLC, amounting to UAH 890.3 thousand. In addition, she received small amounts from Universal Bank JSC (UAH 620), the Svyatopetr Academic Lyceum (UAH 13,000), and UAH 1,000 under the Winter Support program. The declaration does not indicate family members.

Regarding real estate, the official owns only a 28.8 m² garage in Kyiv, which she has owned since June 10, 2016. There is no other housing.

In addition to the new Hyundai Palisade (2020), which Khomych declared in February 2026, she also uses a Mitsubishi Pajero Wagon (2007), the cost of which is not specified. According to market estimates, used cars of this class in Ukraine cost 200–400 thousand UAH, depending on the condition.

Thus, the official earned approximately 900 thousand UAH per year, has two cars, cash of $95,400, and only a garage as real estate. This raises questions about the sources of financing for her expensive car and significant cash.
