Юлія Тимошенко: "Батьківщина" добилася остаточного скасування законопроєкту про цифрові платформи

Yulia Tymoshenko: “Batkivshchyna” achieved the final cancellation of the draft law on digital platforms

Batkivshchyna leader Yulia Tymoshenko announced this.

The Verkhovna Rada did not support Bill No. 14025, which proposed introducing a tax on sales on digital platforms. The document received only 168 votes out of the required number.

The parliamentarians were unable to secure the votes to reconsider the bill, which means it will not return for revision.

“Our efforts were not in vain! The bill, rife with scandals and injustice, has been rejected. Taxation of sales on OLX and Prom will not take place. The monomajority did not have enough votes to support this decision!” – Yulia Tymoshenko noted in her Facebook post.

Deputy leader of the Batkivshchyna party, Valery Dubil, emphasized that rejecting the tax on online sales protects Ukrainians who are trying to survive in modern conditions. “For many, selling used goods is a way to make ends meet or buy medicine. Introducing a tax at this time would be simply unfair. Tymoshenko and our team, as promised, did everything possible to prevent this bill from passing. But we are not stopping there,” Dubil noted.

The Batkivshchyna team’s further plans include preventing the introduction of taxes on foreign parcels worth up to 150 euros and on VAT for individual entrepreneurs.

“We can stop this arbitrariness. We are working!” – Yulia Tymoshenko emphasized.

It is worth recalling that she actively opposes the government’s tax initiatives and is ready to fight economic pressure on the Ukrainian middle class.
