Ukraine and the Middle East are just the beginning: an expert expressed his opinion on the possibility of a third world war
The world is gradually approaching the risk of a global military clash. Conflicts raging in different corners of the planet can be considered the first stage before the possibility of World War III, financial analyst Oleksiy Kushch emphasized on air.
The expert drew attention to the hostilities in Ukraine and the tense situation in the Middle East. Over time, more and more countries are joining these conflicts, which may lead to their transformation into a large-scale global confrontation.
According to Kushch, the military actions of the US and Israel against Iran have already actually reached the scale of a major war. More than ten states are participating in this conflict in various forms.
“More than a dozen countries are either providing their military bases, or are being hit by Iranian missiles, or are actively supporting one of the sides. This is not only about direct participation, but also about indirect assistance,” the analyst noted.
Oleksiy Kushch also emphasized that neither the war in Ukraine nor the conflicts in the Middle East are direct prerequisites for the Third World War. However, these events may indicate the possibility of its approach. As an example, the expert cites historical situations before the Second World War, when several local conflicts took place, such as the Soviet-Finnish war and the clashes between Japan and China.
“The hostilities in Ukraine and the conflicts in the Middle East can be considered as stages of the so-called pre-world war. They do not yet form the Third World War, but can be considered as its prelude,” he explained.
The expert also noted that with each new local conflict, the number of parties involved is gradually increasing. He considers the main global cause of modern confrontations to be the geopolitical competition between the United States and China.
