National Police and Audit Board of Ukraine Facility: Vyhivskyi meets with Belka to protect European funds

The Head of the National Police of Ukraine, Ivan Vyhivskyi, met with Marek Belka, Head of the Audit Board of the Ukraine Facility, as well as the European delegation that arrived in Ukraine. The event was attended by the Head of the Strategic Investigations Department, Andriy Rubel, and the First Deputy Head of the National Police, Head of the Main Investigation Department, Maksym Tsutskiridze. The participants discussed joint mechanisms for protecting the financial interests of Ukraine and the European Union.

The delegation, led by Belka, arrived as part of a working visit to Ukraine. The Ukraine Facility is an independent body established by the European Commission with advisory functions. The delegation included specialists, analysts, and experts representing various sectors.

Vyhivskyi emphasized that the National Police is an important part of the interdepartmental system focused on protecting the financial interests of not only Ukraine, but also the EU. He emphasized the readiness of the police to respond to possible violations related to international assistance.

Belka expressed gratitude for the constructive dialogue and reported on the completion of the report on internal control and audit, in which the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine actively participated. The preparation of a report on the anti-corruption architecture of Ukraine is also underway.

At the end of the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness for further cooperation, focusing on information exchange, improving procedures for responding to challenges and strengthening institutional capabilities in protecting the financial interests of the EU.
