Attack in Dnipro: a man is in critical condition, the police have started an investigation

In Dnipro, a man has been in a coma for the eighth day after being attacked by unknown persons in balaclavas. This incident happened on March 25, 2026, as reported by “Suspilne”.

The wife of the victim, Valentina, said that her husband Serhii was able to call before the attack and inform that he was “being taken to undergo a military medical examination.” After that, the connection was lost, and the woman, using the geolocation of the phone, came to the hospital in Dnipro.

As Valentina notes, she was denied access to her husband in a medical facility. Approximately 40 minutes after her arrival, ambulance medics arrived at the hospital and took Serhiy. At that time, he complained of a severe headache and vomiting blood.

In the hospital, Serhiy’s condition deteriorated sharply, and he fell into a coma. Doctors diagnosed a closed craniocerebral injury and urgently performed an operation. Doctors do not have information about the patient’s condition yet.

After this story was discussed on social networks, witnesses appeared who claimed to have seen the man, who was lying on the ground, being taken to a minibus by unknown persons without uniform and in balaclavas.

The wife emphasizes that her husband was not wanted, and his military documents were in order. She believes that employees of the territorial picking center may be involved in the attack, although she notes that the detainees did not have identification marks.

At the same time, the spokeswoman of the regional TCC and SP reported that, according to the official version, the man’s injury occurred “due to his own carelessness when escaping from the alert group.” According to her, servicemen found the man on the street and called an ambulance.

The police confirmed that criminal proceedings have been initiated in connection with this incident. Law enforcement officers are investigating all the circumstances of the event, interviewing relatives, witnesses and representatives of the TCC.
