Changes in the rules: meter readings will no longer be accepted
In Ukraine, the regular process of transmitting gas meter readings is underway. Consumers have until April 5 to report data for March to avoid errors in their payments.
It is important to note that the participation of controllers is no longer required, as most consumers have switched to digital services. A new mobile application “Cube” is now available, which will simplify the data entry procedure.
With the help of this application, you can transmit readings to Naftogaz in two ways: manually or using the smartphone camera, which reduces the likelihood of errors when entering numbers. After sending the data, the program offers to check whether everything was completed successfully.
The process is instant and includes several steps: opening a personal account, selecting the section for transmitting readings, entering or scanning numbers and confirming actions. This allows you to avoid queues and calls to support services.
The tariff for Naftogaz consumers remains at the level of 7.96 UAH per cubic meter of gas.
Digitalization of gas metering is also underway in Ukraine: “smart” meters with modules that transmit data automatically via secure connections are being introduced. This should completely eliminate manual input of readings and increase the accuracy of metering.
The State Agency for Energy Efficiency emphasizes that such innovations bring Ukraine closer to modern energy monitoring standards, which makes the system more transparent for consumers.
