Польща має брак працівників, але ситуація складніша: які можливості чекають на українців

Poland has a shortage of workers, but the situation is more complicated: what opportunities await Ukrainians

The Polish labor market is experiencing an increase in demand for workers in manual occupations, while the need for highly qualified specialists in certain areas is gradually decreasing. Polish citizens are showing less interest in physically active jobs, which is leading to the active attraction of foreign workers, in particular from Ukraine, according to experts from international employment companies.

According to the data, Ukrainians are the largest group among foreign workers in Poland, accounting for about 67% of all migrants employed in the country. Experts note that migrants are becoming an indispensable resource for Polish companies, because without foreign workers, especially from Ukraine, many of them may face serious difficulties in their activities.

It is expected that over time, Polish business will become even more dependent on labor immigration, which creates new opportunities for foreigners. Ukrainian workers get a chance to find a job with competitive wages.

Areas with the greatest demand for jobs

According to analysts, in particular, Poland has seen an increased demand for workers in the logistics sector. In the fourth quarter of 2025, vacancies in this sector increased by 5.6%. Positive trends are also noted:

in the food industry – +1.95%;
in the service sector, in particular in the hotel and restaurant business, where the number of vacancies increased by 1.6%.
However, there is a decrease in the employment of qualified specialists in certain industries, in particular in the automotive industry and the modern business services sector, where the largest number of layoffs was recorded in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Recently, changes in Polish rules for Ukrainians were reported, which affect the availability of certain benefits, as well as new obligations and conditions for Ukrainian students in Poland.
