Харків'янина затримали під час спроби втечі, стрибнувши в крижаний Дністер

Kharkiv resident detained while attempting to escape by jumping into the icy Dniester

In Vinnytsia, border guards of the Mogilev-Podilskyi detachment successfully thwarted another attempt to illegally cross the state border. The offender turned out to be a 36-year-old resident of Kharkiv, who decided to cross the Dniester, despite the dangerous conditions.

According to the border service, the man carefully prepared for his risky journey, developing a route that bypassed checkpoints to avoid control by law enforcement officers. He put all the necessary documents and personal belongings in a backpack.

Arriving at the bank of the Dniester, the offender, without any special equipment, entered the water without hesitation. He was not stopped by either the low temperature or the strong current, which can pose a serious threat to life.

However, he failed to carry out his plan. The border guard unit noticed suspicious activity on the water in time. For a quick response, the servicemen used a boat and intercepted the offender while he was swimming.

After his detention, he was brought to administrative responsibility for attempting to illegally cross the state border.

It should also be noted that the operatives of the Chernivtsi Border Guard Unit exposed an organized group of individuals involved in the illegal smuggling of people across the state border. They bypassed official checkpoints, and the services cost clients thousands of dollars. The employees of the Chernivtsi Border Guard Unit carried out measures to combat illegal migration and uncovered the activities of a group involved in smuggling to Moldova outside official channels.
