Fuel price could reach 120 hryvnias: a new price record

There is a possibility of a significant increase in fuel prices in Ukraine. Oleg Ustenko noted that gasoline and diesel prices could exceed 120 hryvnias per liter if military conflicts in the Middle East continue and affect the global oil market.

Currently, the cost of diesel fuel in Kyiv has reached about 95 hryvnias per liter, which reflects the difficult situation on the market. Experts believe that further price changes depend on the development of the geopolitical situation.

The main factors that could lead to a rapid increase in prices include:

1. An increase in the price of oil to $100 and above per barrel. If hostilities affect oil infrastructure or important logistics routes, prices could rise sharply.
2. Devaluation of the hryvnia. Since Ukraine relies heavily on fuel imports, the decline in the value of the national currency directly affects prices at gas stations.
3. Increased logistics costs. The difficulty of cross-border supplies will also affect the final price for consumers.

Although this scenario is still classified as pessimistic, the real cost of fuel will depend on whether the conflict escalates into a large-scale regional war and what position OPEC will take.

It was also previously reported that parking fees will be raised in Kyiv, but drivers will be given discounts of up to 90%. In addition, Ukrainians will have to pay for travel on highways, and experts advise on how to save fuel to reduce costs.
