Zlata Ognevich surprised with her decision to return to Eurovision
Ukrainian singer Zlata Ognevich, who won third place for Ukraine at Eurovision in 2013, unexpectedly commented on the possibility of participating in the contest again. Despite the numerous support from her fans, the artist stated that she has no intention of entering this international stage again.
In the program “55 for 5”, where Alina Shamanska acted as the interlocutor, Ognevich considered the numerous requests of her fans, who urged her to represent Ukraine at Eurovision again.
The singer spoke about this quite restrainedly: “This page has already been turned. It was a wonderful and successful experience, and there is no point in trying to repeat it,” Zlata noted.
At the same time, the artist believes that it is not worth criticizing performers who seek to participate in the contest for more than the first time. Eurovision is a platform that everyone can use as many times as they want, she emphasized. “I am sure that everyone has the right to try their hand at this contest, so don’t judge those who regularly participate in the selections,” the singer said.
Ognevich warmly responds to the support of fans and urged them to attend her concerts. “It makes me happy. I really ask you to come to my performances,” she added.
Recall that Zlata conquered Eurovision with the song “Gravity”, which brought Ukraine third place. Her performance stood out not only for her vocal skills, but also for her bright staging, although behind the scenes they faced some difficulties. The singer recalled that during the preparation the team had to face problems, as the organizers changed their performances, which complicated the final preparation.
Zlata is not entirely satisfied with her participation in Eurovision, although she appreciates the results achieved. “I was happy with the result, but we faced serious difficulties due to changes that we were warned about later,” she admitted.
This information indicates that, despite her refusal to participate again, the singer leaves the door open to supporting her fans through other formats, including concerts.
