Delays at the border with Poland: drivers are advised to plan their trips in advance

From April 24, 2026, road surface renewal works will begin at the Rava-Ruska checkpoint on the Ukrainian side. According to information from the relevant services, repairs will continue in the service area in front of the checkpoint.

It is noted that the work will continue until approximately June 1, 2026. They will be implemented in stages on both lanes – for entry into Ukraine and exit abroad. This information is confirmed by the State Border Service.

As a result of the repair works, traffic will be organized on only one lane, which will function in both directions. This can lead to a decrease in the speed of passing control and temporary delays.

The department emphasizes that during the repair, there may be changes in the throughput of the point.

Drivers are advised to plan routes in advance, pay attention to current information about the border and, if possible, choose a less busy time to cross.

The Ukrainian-Polish border is currently experiencing a seasonal increase in passenger traffic. More than 107,000 people crossed it during the day, most of whom were returning home. Some checkpoints are experiencing congestion, while others are operating normally.

Border guards urge travelers to plan their trips in advance and choose less busy checkpoints to avoid delays and queues. Taking into account seasonal fluctuations, active traffic at the border is expected in the coming weeks.
