In Kyiv, they tried to seize land worth 12 million UAH through a “dovecote”
The Commercial Court of Kyiv upheld the claim of the Svyatoshyn District Prosecutor’s Office, ordering the owner of the unauthorized structure to liquidate it, and also canceled the ownership of the land plot, which they tried to claim without holding a competition.
The court recognized that one of the private companies illegally obtained the ownership of the so-called dovecote, located on Efremova Street in Svyatoshynskyi District. This object became the basis for an application for municipal land, which they planned to obtain without following the necessary procedures.
The owner, having a formalized “real estate”, initiated the formation of the land plot and its entry into the State Land Cadastre. This is the first step in obtaining land rights.
According to the case materials, the area of the plot is approximately 5,000 square meters, its value is estimated at 12 million hryvnias, and it was planned to use the land for the construction of a multi-apartment residential complex with shopping and entertainment facilities.
The court ruled that the company’s actions were illegal: the illegally constructed building is subject to demolition, and the ownership right to it is canceled. The state registration of the land plot will also be canceled.
In addition, the situation is worsening in the center of Kyiv regarding the construction of the second phase of the hotel and office complex near the Hilton Kyiv hotel. They plan to implement a project related to the casino on the site at 28–30 Tarasa Shevchenko Boulevard.
