Ukrainians are being forced to take a second MMC, which will be unaffected
Starting June 5, 2025, new rules for passing the Military Medical Commission (MMC) in Ukraine for men who have previously received the status of limitedly fit for service will take effect. However, lawyers are drawing attention to the fact that not everyone needs to undergo a re-medical examination.
According to current legislation, only persons recognized as limitedly fit must undergo a re-MMC after reaching the age of 25. A re-medical commission is not mandatory if a conscript has not yet reached this age.
Lawyer Yuriy Ayvazyan emphasizes that even given the general requirements for updating military records, passing a re-MMC before the age of 25 is unnecessary.
At the same time, it should be noted that persons who have received summons or referrals to the territorial recruitment center must appear when called. Lawyer Vladislav Derii notes that failure to occur without a valid reason is subject to administrative liability, which can be expressed in fines of up to 17,000 hryvnias.
Thus, citizens with limited fitness must carefully monitor their age and the documents they receive from the territorial recruitment center. If there is no summons and you are not yet 25, re-passing the VLK is unnecessary. In the event of receiving an official summons, regardless of age, you must appear at the TCC since this is a direct obligation of the conscript.
