Kyivzelenstroy office suspects another contractor of corruption schemes in flowerbeds

A new suspect has been identified in the case related to the activities of a criminal group created by the leaders of the Kyivzelenstroy Municipal Association.

According to the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office, suspicion has been raised against a contractor company representative. He is accused of transferring illegal benefits to officials of Kyivzelenstroy (Part 1, Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, this company had a contract for work performance for the municipal association. During the cooperation, the company’s representative transferred 62 thousand hryvnias, 15% of the total funds received. This amount was considered a “kickback,” which ensured the unhindered execution of acts of work performed and further cooperation with the enterprise.

According to the law, the suspect faces up to 4 years in prison.

The investigation revealed 10 cases of extortion of bribes and five facts of their receipt for more than 3 million hryvnias. It was previously established that the participants in the criminal scheme planned to receive at least 25 million hryvnias in contracts for 2024, part of which was to be distributed among officials of “Kyivzelenstroy.”

Suspicions have already been raised against the general director of the enterprise, his first deputy, one of the deputy heads of the department, and three heads of contracting firms.

Due to the negligence of an employee of “Kyivgorsvet,” the capital’s budget suffered losses of almost 1.5 million hryvnias.
