Widespread screening of pensioners who risk losing part of their benefits

Another businessman was suspected as part of the investigation into the activities of a criminal organization that, according to the case materials, was created by the heads of the municipal enterprise “Kyivzelenbud.”

According to the metropolitan prosecutor’s office, the suspect is a representative of a contracting organization. He is accused of transferring illegal benefits to officials of “Kyivzelenbud” (Part 1, Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The investigation established that this company agreed to work for the municipal enterprise. As part of the cooperation, the company representative transferred 62 thousand hryvnias, which was 15% of the amount received. These funds are classified as a “kickback,” which ensures the unhindered signing of acts of work performed and continued cooperation with the enterprise.

According to current legislation, the suspect faces up to 4 years in prison.

Earlier, the investigation revealed 10 facts of extortion of bribes and five facts of their receipt in the total amount of more than 3 million hryvnias. According to preliminary data, the participants in the criminal scheme planned to receive at least 25 million hryvnias under the contracts in 2024, part of which was to be distributed among officials of “Kyivzelenstruy.”

Suspicions have already been raised against the general director of the enterprise, his first deputy, one of the deputy heads of the department, and three heads of contracting companies.

We remind you that due to the negligence of an employee of “Kyivgorsvit,” the capital’s budget suffered losses of nearly 1.5 million hryvnias.
