In the Poltava region, a man was sentenced for evading mobilization because the military commissariat could not find him a unit

In the Poltava region, a court ruled against a man who failed to appear at a territorial recruitment center after receiving a summons.

This became known from the decision of the Lokhvytskyi District Court in the Poltava region.

According to the case materials, the man was found fit for military service and received a summons. Still, he did not appear at the TCC, violating the mobilization legislation.

During the court hearing, he admitted his guilt, explaining that he did not appear because he was dissatisfied with the attitude of the territorial center employees. According to him, he was repeatedly transferred to different military units, but none of them needed his specialty.

He said: “I was outraged that I was simply transferred from unit to unit, where they said I was not needed. Therefore, I decided not to go anymore.” The man also expressed repentance and promised to fulfill his duty if he received a new summons.

After a comprehensive examination of the case, the court found him guilty under Article 336 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine of evading military service and sentenced him to two years of probation.
