The bribery case in the CCC in Mykolaiv has been closed: attempts to ”smear” for money

Investigators of the State Bureau of Investigation have completed a pre-trial investigation into a resident of Mykolaiv, who, together with an employee of the territorial recruitment and social support center, demanded a bribe from the relatives of a conscript. The indictment has already been sent to court.

According to the investigation, the defendants demanded money from the relatives of a man who was being checked at the territorial recruitment center. While the relatives were waiting for the check’s results, an unknown person approached them and said that for 4.5 thousand US dollars, he could “help” resolve the issue of their relative’s release. He assured them that he had contacts among the center’s employees and could achieve his release.

The defendant is accused of receiving illegal benefits, for which he faces up to 5 years in prison. Earlier, in February 2025, law enforcement officers detained accomplices while receiving part of the funds from the relatives of a mobilized person who was already in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The investigation into the territorial center employee has been separated into a separate proceeding.

In this case, the Mykolaiv Specialized Prosecutor’s Office in the Field of Defense of the Southern Region is conducting procedural management.
