Murat Nalchajioglu shared honestly about his relationship with Ani Lorak for the first time: “There was no politics between us”

Turkish entrepreneur Murat Nalçacıoğlu, who remained in Kyiv during the full-scale war, has spoken for the first time about his relationship with his ex-wife, famous singer Ani Lorak. Unlike him, she chose a different path after the war began.

In a conversation with blogger Bohdan Bespalov, Murat noted that they maintain contact because they share a daughter. He emphasized that despite their divorce and differences in worldview, their communication continues in the best interests of the child. “We have a child together, we never discuss politics,” the businessman stated.

The former couple co-parents their 14-year-old daughter Sofia, who now lives with her mother in Moscow. Nevertheless, Murat makes efforts to stay close to her, as their relationship is important to him.

He continues to meet with Sofia outside of Ukraine, due to the ongoing situation in the country. In his view, it’s essential to maintain warmth and closeness in his relationship with his daughter.

Ani Lorak has faced repeated criticism over her stance during the war, her silence, and her performances in Russia. Meanwhile, Murat chose to stay in Ukraine and support the country during difficult times, continuing to grow his business.

Although their personal relationship has ended, they share a common goal — to ensure their child is raised happily. Even though their lives have diverged, their bond remains important for Sofia’s sake.
