Mobilization will take place at a rapid pace: critical shortage of fighters – who to prepare for deployment

The situation regarding personnel in the Armed Forces of Ukraine is becoming critically strained. These were the words of Member of Parliament Nina Yuzhanina, who emphasized that the army urgently needs new reserves. The losses among defenders have become so significant that the state must take immediate action.

Yuzhanina pointed out that without swift mobilization, Ukraine could find itself in an even more dangerous position. It is crucial to urgently form new reserves and ensure their proper training. Only this can strengthen the country’s defense and maintain its resilience amid the prolonged war.

“The situation with the killed and wounded is catastrophic. Without large-scale mobilization, we will not be able to carry out the necessary rotations, which are absolutely vital,” the MP stressed.

Moreover, it’s worth noting that the demobilization bill that had been promised has not yet been passed. The government admits that the return of a significant portion of military personnel could jeopardize the country’s defense capabilities.

Martial law and general mobilization in Ukraine have been extended at least until August 6, 2025. The conscription age remains unchanged — starting at 25 years old. Although there is ongoing discussion about the mandatory mobilization of women, the military currently consists mostly of female volunteers.

These developments indicate that the country is likely to face serious challenges in the near future, and every Ukrainian must be prepared for the possibility of being called to the front.
