Pensioners were told how to receive a new benefit of UAH 4,500 per month

Important information is available for all readers interested in receiving pension payments. Some Ukrainians will have the opportunity to receive new social assistance.

It is necessary to understand who can receive these payments and where to apply for them. Basic social assistance will be provided to Ukrainians with low incomes in accordance with the new Procedure approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

Conditions for receiving basic social assistance

Starting from July 1, 2025, the following groups may apply for financial support:

– low-income families;

– single mothers;

– families with many children;

– children whose parents evade paying alimony or who cannot provide for their children.

From October 1, 2025, other vulnerable population categories may be added to these groups.

Basic social assistance is provided for six months, with the possibility of automatic extension.

Amount of assistance

The amount of basic social assistance will be determined individually based on the difference between the total amount for each family member and their average income for the previous quarter.

The basic amount for the first family member will be 4,500 hryvnias, and for each subsequent one, 3,150 hryvnias, which is 70% of this amount.

For older adults who have not accumulated the necessary experience to receive a pension, the following indicators are used:

– 2,385 hryvnias – if the experience is less than 10 years;

– 2,790 hryvnias – if the experience is from 10 to 20 years;

– 3,150 hryvnias – if the experience is from 20 to 30 years;

– 3,960 hryvnias – if the experience exceeds 30 years.

How to apply for assistance

An application for basic social assistance can be submitted in two ways:

– in writing at the Pension Fund service center;

– online through the “Diya” portal.
