Ukrainian defense recorded an attack by a drone with artificial intelligence and a gasoline engine
Sergey “Flash” Bezkrestnov announced a new attack by drones equipped with artificial intelligence and gasoline engines capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 100 kilometers.
In his Telegram channel, electronic warfare and intelligence expert Sergey “Flash” Bezkrestnov noted that the new drone used by the enemy had demonstrated its ability to attack Ukrainian targets at an impressive distance. He emphasized that he discussed this issue at a technological level with the Ukrainian president and called on colleagues to support his initiative.
The researcher is actively collecting information about this attack and encourages anyone with information to share it.
In a comment to the media, he also touched on basic antennas used on Russian drones. He emphasized the impossibility of their effective confrontation with Ukrainian electronic warfare technologies.
Bezkrestnov gave the example of a CRPA-format antenna installed on the “Shaheeds,” noting that these components cost about $10 thousand and are difficult to develop.
According to his information, Russia is currently producing antennas called “Comets,” particularly models with 4 and 8 elements. It recently introduced a new antenna with 12 elements, which is already being integrated into the “Comets” and “Shaheeds.” However, Ukrainian intelligence reports on the Russians’ difficulties in producing such antennas, which led to delays in delivery.
Today, the basic antenna for Russian drones is an 8-element model, but the occupiers realize that it is insufficient for practical actions against Ukrainian electronic warfare equipment.
Bezkrestnov noted that the 16-element antenna is produced in China, emphasizing that its manufacture is not technically difficult. However, the main problem lies in the algorithms for combating interference.
At the same time, Russia continues to develop 16-element antennas, but the 8-element model remains relevant for now, which does not provide the proper level of protection against Ukrainian electronic warfare technologies.
On the night of May 21, Ukrainian drones struck Russian positions, causing disruptions in communications and mobile networks in some regions.
