A therapeutic garden for military personnel will appear in Kyiv

The implementation of the Therapeutic Garden, designed for the rehabilitation of military personnel, veterans, and people recovering from traumatic experiences, has begun on the territory of VDNH in Kyiv.

This pilot project aims to provide physical and emotional relief through horticultural therapy, occupational therapy, art therapy, and individual recreation.

The new space will also include a children’s area, allowing parents to focus on therapeutic sessions without worrying about their little ones.

This project is being implemented within the framework of the National Strategy for Creating a Barrier-Free Environment, initiated by First Lady Olena Zelenska. It is being implemented jointly by VDNH and the Ministry of Veterans Affairs.

The urban bureau Big City Lab and the architectural studio PUPA are developing architectural solutions that consider the principles of accessibility and convenience for all visitors.

This project will be the first step towards creating a support and recovery system for those in need in Ukraine.

In the Desnyanskyi district of Kyiv, law enforcement officers detained a man who, while intoxicated, damaged parked cars, jumping on hoods and breaking windshields. His actions were classified as hooliganism. “Yesterday at 10:00, we received a signal about a suspicious man who damaged several cars and disappeared from the scene. Eyewitnesses described the suspect. After examining the area, inspectors found a person matching the description. She was aggressive due to intoxication, so she was detained, calling investigators,” the report states.
