Utility workers are preparing a blow to debtors, forcing them to repay their debt and pay more

Unpaid utility bills can lead to serious problems. Specialists from the company “Mykolaivvodokanal” explain that simply paying off the debt is not enough.

Recently, the population’s debts for utility services have increased significantly. This is primarily due to the deterioration of the financial situation resulting from the war, as well as the increase in prices for certain services.

Despite the economic situation, regular non-payment leads to serious consequences. Utility companies actively adhere to a policy of legal protection of their interests, resorting to lawsuits.

Consumers should remember that if the case goes to court, simply repaying the debt is not enough because you will also need to pay a court fee.

Experts note: “For particularly persistent debtors, an effective means of debt repayment is obtaining a court decision. This may be unpleasant, but it works. When returning funds by a court decision, the debtor is obliged to settle the debt in one payment and pay the appropriate court fee.”

To avoid additional financial costs, Ukrainians are advised to actively work on repaying their debts, for example, by applying for the possibility of restructuring, which will enable them to repay the debt in installments.
