Man jumped on cars and broke windows: Metropolitan police officers detained the offender

In the Desnyanskyi district of the capital, law enforcement officers detained a man who, while intoxicated, damaged parked cars. He was jumping on car hoods and breaking windshields. His actions are classified as hooliganism.

The Kyiv Patrol Police reported this.

“Last night, a report was received about a suspicious man who committed vandalism and fled the scene. Eyewitnesses described the attacker. After checking the area, law enforcement officers found a person matching the description. The man was drunk and behaved aggressively, so he was detained, and investigators were called,” the report says.

A criminal case has been opened under Article 296, Part 1, of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – hooliganism.

The incident went viral on the capital’s Telegram channels, where a video was posted. The footage shows a man in Troyeshchyna jumping onto the hood of a car parked near the entrance and breaking the windshield.

Work is currently underway to establish all the circumstances of the case and the exact number of damaged cars.
