An unknown person threw a grenade from a window in Obolon, Kyiv

On the evening of May 27, an explosion occurred near a residential building in Obolon, Kyiv. According to law enforcement, an unknown person threw a practice grenade from a window. The blast happened near the entrance, but there were no significant injuries or casualties.

According to police, information about the incident was received at around 7:10 p.m. It was established that the grenade that exploded was a practice grenade and detonated near the entrance.

An investigative and operational group, along with explosives technicians, are currently working at the scene.

It is worth noting that similar incidents had already occurred in Kyiv before when grenades were thrown due to conflicts between neighbors or attempts to sell weapons illegally. Recently, law enforcement officers discovered a significant arsenal of weapons in a garage in the Desnyanskyi district. The police are currently investigating possible connections between these cases.

There was also a car explosion in the Podilskyi district. In early April, a grenade exploded in one of the shops at the Yunist market in the Desnyanskyi district, killing two people.
