Людина, яка тримає гроші в руке

Payments available upon the birth of a third child

In Ukraine, a state program provides financial assistance at the birth of a child, regardless of the child’s position in the family.

According to information from the “Diya” portal, the amount of assistance is 41,280 hryvnias, applicable to both the first-born and the third child in the family, regardless of gender.

This amount is paid in two parts: first, a single amount of 10,320 hryvnias is issued immediately, and the rest is paid in 860 hryvnias per month for three years. The right to receive assistance is granted to parents or an official guardian who lives with the child and is on leave to care for the child.

You can receive this assistance both online and offline. For this, the “eMalyatko” service is available through the Ministry of Social Policy’s electronic services. If you choose the traditional method, please get in touch with the Center for Providing Administrative Services or your local social protection authority.

To register, you will need a passport or other document confirming your identity; the registration number of the taxpayer’s registration card; certificate of residence (for ID card holders); birth certificate of the child; bank account number; court decision (for guardians); birth certificate if the baby was born abroad.

Please note that registration for the “eMalyatko” service must be completed within 30 days after the child’s birth. Do not miss this deadline!

Despite the challenges associated with the war in Ukraine, the state continues to support its citizens and does everything possible to help families with children. It is essential to remain active by volunteering, contributing financially, and participating in joint efforts to secure the country’s future.
