Yuriy Vanetyk explained why Trump still has not taken measures to end the war in Ukraine, noting that “he looked at things superficially”
The program “Personality with Sergey Doyk” discussed the views of the well-known expert Yuri Vanetik on Donald Trump’s attempt to influence the situation in Ukraine. The expert expressed his belief that Trump may underestimate the difficulties that await him in the negotiations. According to Vanetik, Trump may believe that by simply communicating with the Russian leader, he can achieve peace and halt the conflict. However, he notes that this task is challenging, since Putin may not be interested in such advice.
In his opinion, even if Trump tries to cooperate, the results are likely to be limited and may only lead to a temporary freeze of the conflict. Vanetik notes that there is an opinion in the United States that the war will last at least until the end of this year, which does not correspond to Trump’s expectations. Politicians often promise more than they can implement in practice.
The expert believes that while Trump’s desire to end the war is positive — after all, people are suffering and their homes are being destroyed — the realities now remain difficult.
