Pensioners will be paid UAH 12,500: what documents need to be submitted to the PFU

In Ukraine, pensioners have the opportunity to receive additional state support. This may include free trips to sanatoriums or cash payments. Information about this is posted on the public services portal “Diya”.

The state provides monetary compensation for those who suffered as a result of the Chernobyl accident and are entitled to free sanatorium and resort treatment. If a person decides to refuse the trip, they can receive compensation in cash.

Persons with disabilities due to the Chernobyl disaster can receive a payment equivalent to the average cost of a sanatorium trip. The amount is determined based on the regional average costs of rehabilitation. For example, in the Poltava region in 2025, the compensation increased by 1,000 hryvnias and amounts to 12,500 hryvnias.

To receive the payment, you must contact the Pension Fund of Ukraine.

To apply for compensation, you will need:

Application for compensation;

copy of passport;

medical certificate in the form 070/o;
a copy of the certificate of a victim of the Chernobyl disaster of category I (along with the insert).
The pension fund is obliged to transfer funds within 30 calendar days after submitting the documents.
