Svyrydenko told how the time of power outages will be reduced and the energy balance will change

The government has decided to review the lists of critical infrastructure facilities. As Yulia Svyrydenko noted, only facilities with low energy consumption and those that are not of strategic importance were excluded.

The Prime Minister reported on a meeting with the heads of regional military and civil administrations, at which the implementation of the decision to update these lists was discussed.

As a result of the review, it was revealed that about 800 MW of electrical capacity could be released. This decision aims to reduce the duration of power outages for the population and businesses.

Two categories of facilities were excluded from the updated list: facilities with a capacity of less than 100 kW and those connected to critical consumers but no longer performing essential functions. Now, such consumers will be subject to general outage schedules.

At the same time, the revision did not affect the support hospitals, life support facilities, and enterprises of the defense-industrial complex, which remain a priority. The Ministry of Energy, together with the State Energy Supervision Agency, is tasked with monitoring the implementation of this decision.

This winter, power outages are possible in Kyiv, and their frequency and duration depend on shelling and weather conditions.
