Kristen Stewart shared her desire to make a new version of ‘Twilight’

Kristen Stewart, the actress, has expressed her desire to direct a new remake of the famous Twilight series in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. She stated that she is ready to take on the adaptation if she receives sufficient support and the necessary resources.

Stewart noted, “I would really like to do it. I really appreciate the work of everyone who participated in the creation of these films, and I think they are very unique for a time when the series had not yet reached its peak.”

In addition, the actress said that if she were allocated a large budget, she would eagerly take on the implementation: “Imagine if there was a large budget and support … I would be happy to direct this adaptation. Of course, I am ready!”

Kristen Stewart’s debut as a director took place in May 2025 at the Cannes Film Festival, where she presented her film “The Chronology of Water”, based on the memoirs of writer Lydia Yuknavich. In the movie, the actress shows the path of a woman who analyzes her challenging career as a swimmer, as well as her experiences of violence, addiction, love, and the loss of a child.
