Artificial intelligence will replace inspectors: Ukraine is changing the system of driver exams

This information was announced by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov, who noted that the country already has the necessary technological solutions that enable remote control of the testing process without compromising quality or transparency.

In particular, we are talking about using artificial intelligence to track participants’ behavior and potential fraud during the exam, including eye movements and screen focus. This will ensure honesty in conducting online exams.

Fedorov emphasized that the state’s main principle is trust in its citizens, and that modern digital services can significantly reduce opportunities for corruption. The introduction of an online exam can be an important step towards creating a transparent and convenient system for obtaining a driver’s license.

However, for the successful implementation of this project, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine’s support is necessary, as this department is responsible for exam procedures and license issuance. If the project is approved, the format of online exams could significantly change approaches to driver training in Ukraine.
