Prepare for the worst: Ukrainians urged to stock up on food
As air temperatures drop, the Kyiv City State Administration warns of the possibility of new enemy attacks. Ukrainians are advised to pay attention to their security measures and take the necessary measures to protect themselves.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs calls on the population to prepare supplies of water, long-lasting products, and medicines. Following basic safety rules will help reduce risks in emergencies.
The main advice is to ensure sufficient water supplies. It is recommended to have at least 3 liters of drinking water and 11-12 liters of technical water per day for each family member.
In addition to water, it is worth preparing a “first aid kit” that will contain documents, warm clothes, a first aid kit, personal hygiene products, heating devices, and a sufficient amount of cash.
Providing water and food for pets is no less important, since in crisis conditions, they also need regular care. It is also recommended to keep mobile devices charged and to have alternative power sources, such as portable charging stations or power banks, on hand.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs advises reducing time spent outdoors without an urgent need to avoid risks to life and health during possible attacks or emergencies. You should also check your food and medicine supplies to ensure your family’s basic needs are met.
We remind you that power outages may persist, so we urge Ukrainians to prepare for water and food in advance. We note that new massive attacks from Russia may become a reality, and Ukrainians should be prepared for possible difficulties in the coming days.
