Free charging stations are being distributed in Ukraine: who will receive new support?

A new support initiative has been launched at the Pension Fund of Ukraine’s service centers, which perhaps not all families are yet aware of. This measure is not related to financial payments or pension increases, but involves the free transfer of portable charging stations. Applications for this equipment have already been accepted.

The reason for implementing such a program is the government’s update of the rules governing the use of the State Fund for Decarbonization and Energy Efficiency funds. The new version of the document provides for the creation of a special direction that allows for the provision of portable power sources. Thus, the Pension Fund has been granted the right to accept applications and to organize the issuance of charging stations to those who need a stable power supply.

It is worth noting that this assistance is not financial. A person receives a charging station free of charge and for permanent use. The device does not need to be returned or rented; it remains in the family for daily use. Such stations can ensure the operation of important devices during a power outage, including medical equipment and care products.

The program is addressed to a specific group – children with disabilities of subgroup A. The application can be submitted by the child’s legal representative, such as a parent or guardian. All applications are accepted at the Pension Fund service centers.

To apply, it is necessary to prepare an application for each child separately, a document certifying the applicant’s identity, and, if necessary, confirmation of the representative’s authority and a medical certificate or its copy. Some of the data can be checked by specialists through state electronic systems when submitting documents.

Applications can be submitted until April 1, 2026. After this date, the opportunity to apply to the program will no longer be available, even if the family meets the requirements.

After consideration of the application and a positive decision, the charging station will be delivered to the applicant via Ukrposhta, and there is no need to visit the institution in person. The device will be delivered to the specified address with confirmation of delivery.
