8,000 UAH per month for six months: compensation from the state and reasons for their payment

A new state program will begin operating in Ukraine in March, providing cash compensation of more than 8,000 hryvnias per month for six months.

Social services report that this initiative is aimed at supporting people who have lost their homes or suffered significant damage as a result of military operations. The program aims to provide financial stability to those facing difficulties and help them restore their daily lives.

Compensation will be paid to families whose homes have been destroyed or severely damaged, as well as to certain categories of internally displaced persons. To participate in the program, you must submit an application through the state online services and provide documents confirming your relevant status. After the application is reviewed by a special commission, compensation will be automatically credited to the recipients’ bank accounts, which will simplify the process and reduce bureaucratic obstacles.

The government emphasizes that these measures create a financial cushion for people during the recovery process and help reduce the economic burden in the affected regions. The program is currently designed for 6 months, but its terms can be extended if necessary.

Such programs reduce the burden on the most vulnerable households, support domestic demand, and stimulate economic activity in the regions affected by the conflict. For families who have lost their homes, these payments will be not only financial support, but also a chance to return to normal life.

It was previously reported that large families were reminded of the possibility of receiving a 50% discount on utility services, as well as the introduction of a 30% “commission” for pensioners. The question of who will not receive pension indexation is also being discussed.
