In Odessa, a money transfer scheme through an agricultural company was exposed: 10 thousand for a “formal signature”

In the Odessa region, detectives of the Bureau of Economic Security have completed an investigation into a local resident who, for a fee, organized a fictitious business to convert funds.

Employees of the Territorial Department of the Bureau of Economic Security in the Odessa region discovered that the Odessa resident had submitted documents for registration of a legal entity using false data. An enterprise was registered in his name, which allegedly engaged in wholesale trade in grain and animal feed.

During the investigation, it turned out that the details of this company were exploited in tax liability reduction schemes. Non-cash money was converted into cash for enterprises in the real sector of the economy through the agricultural company.

According to law enforcement officers, the person involved in the case received 10 thousand hryvnias for his role in the scheme, but in reality did not perform any managerial or economic functions. The enterprise documentation was prepared and signed by other persons, against whom separate criminal proceedings are ongoing.

The man was charged with suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 205-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for forgery of documents for state registration of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs. The indictment has already been sent to court.

According to the provisions of the article, the suspect faces a fine of 8 to 10 thousand non-taxable minimum incomes or imprisonment for a term of three to five years. It is also possible to restrict the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain types of activity for a term of up to three years.

The procedural management of the case is carried out by prosecutors of the Odessa Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
